In the future light might not just provide shine in dark places, they might be used in wireless technologies to connect you computer, phone, or car into the internet.
Using light and lasers as a direct, high-speed form of communication has been recently studied by both NASA and the U.S. Military.
Unlike radio frequencies that can get slower when it gets crowded, light information bypasses the crowding problem by directly reaching each devices at the same time.
