New Glow of the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge

Saving a state's budget without compromising its services is very beneficial to both its people and the government. The United states Department of Transportation has conducted a lighting project that will save the department's budget. This project is about using energy-saving light-emitting diodes (LED) in replace of high-pressure sodium bulbs for the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge which gave the bridge a new glow and look to it. Cree LED Recessed Down Lights

Cree LED lighting family has now been recognized as super efficacy and design in the 2008 Lighting for Tomorrow solid-state lighting competition organized by American Lighting Association, US Dept. Energy and the Consortium of Energy Efficiency.

Cree, Inc.'s CreeLR4 recessed architectural LED down light won the top prize for its category. This LED lights is 24-inch square recessed light and produces 50 lumens per watt.

This new LED lighting innovation sets the stage to obsolete the incandescent light bulb.

Led Work Lights VS. Normal Torch: On Equal Footing?

Light-Emitting Diode is now a continually innovated and researched technology to provide a more energy efficient and illumination for various applications. One LED technology is the work light which is tested against the common torch light. The two sources of light as showed in the experiment looks like they are both on equal footing but it is not.
